Lime (Citrus auranifolia) essential oil has a bright, zesty aroma. Like other citrus oils, its uplifting nature helps to brighten sprits and counter apathy.
Aura Cacia Organic Distilled Lime Essential Oil comes from Sri Lanka. It is steam distilled from the peels of the lime, a process which makes it non-phototoxic unlike oil pressed from the peel. It also gives a fresher aroma, ideal for aromatic diffusions and body care.
Lime essential oil shares many qualities with lemon essential oil and can be used in place of it in many blends.
Lime blends well with many other essential oils including lemon, citronella, peppermint, spearmint, lavandin, rosemary, lavender, clary sage, neroli and ylang ylang.
What’s the difference between organic lime essential oil and conventional lime essential oil?
Organic essential oils differ from conventional oils in that the botanicals from which they are derived are grown according to the USDA’s Organic Standards. Our manufacturing facility and all of our organic essential oils have also been certified organic by the established third-party certifier, Quality Assurance International (QAI).

Because essential oils are highly concentrated, we recommend diluting them in a carrier product like skin care oil, water, unscented lotion, or unscented liquid soap. Quick Tip: Blend 48 drops with 4 fluid ounces jojoba oil for a body oil.
