SOD by Seeking Health provides 21.429 mg (300 IU) of Extramel® M Melon Extract, a unique vegetarian source of superoxide dismutase (SOD). Free radicals and other reactive compounds produced as a normal result of metabolism or in response to daily environmental exposures can potentially cause damage to cell membranes, fats and proteins if left unchecked. Antioxidant enzymes such as SOD help to scavenge, convert and remove these compounds and may therefore help support the body's defenses against free radicals and oxidative damage.
