A Guided Meditation To Help You Manage Diabetes

Lower your blood sugar naturally with this evidence-based, stress-vanquishing guided meditation, designed to target either Type 1 or 2 diabetes. It was distributed at the annual meeting of The American Association of Diabetes Educators.

This calming, physiologically accurate guided imagery is designed help you imagine the steady flow of strength and energy throughout the body, thanks to improved access to insulin (either insulin that’s naturally produced by your body, or that comes from taking medicine) and the body’s heightened ability to absorb nutrients from the bloodstream that occurs as a result.

This audio also provides mind-body tools for quickly and easily reducing stress, a known cortisol and blood glucose elevator, as well as the depression and fatigue that can accompany high blood sugar. 

A second track offers brief affirmations you can listen to while you're on the go.

We developed this meditation in consultation with diabetes educators, endocrinologists, psychologists, and, most importantly, people who are dealing with the ups and downs of diabetes every day.  We also draw on research showing that meditation consistently helps reduce blood cortisol, blood glucose, and hemoglobin Alc.
