Zinc for Colds: A Body of Research for Shortening Duration of Common Colds

The common cold is just that -- common!  Colds are the number one reason why people miss out on school and work days.  The average person catches two to three colds a year, each lasting about a week to fully recover. 

There's no real cure for the common cold, but a growing body of research shows that supplementing zinc can shorten the duration up to 40%.  That's two to three days of your life back for each cold!
