Zinc for Colds: A Body of Research for Shortening Duration of Common Colds

The common cold is just that -- common!  Colds are the number one reason why people miss out on school and work days.  The average person catches two to three colds a year, each lasting about a week to fully recover.

There's no real cure for the common cold, but a growing body of research shows that supplementing zinc can shorten the duration up to 40%.  That's two to three days of your life back for each cold!

A meta-analysis of several clinical studies concluded that the sweet spot is between 80 to 92 milligrams of zinc per day.  They didn't find any benefit to going over that amount.  At Castle Remedies, we are pleased to offer you several easy and delicious ways to increase your zinc intake during a cold.
